La Carneille

La Carneille is a commune with 578 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Orne in Basse-Normandie region.

Geography

The place is located at the intersection of the streets of Falaise and Domfront after Condé -sur- Noireau after Javron -les- Chapels. The municipal area is drained by the river and the streams Rouvre Gine and Meheudin.

The neighboring communities of La Carneille are Taillebois in the north, Notre -Dame- du- Rocher in the North East, Sainte -Honorine -la -Guillaume in the east, Les Tourailles to the southeast, and Durcet Landigou in the south and Ronfeugerai in the West.

History and Culture

The first recorded name of the place was Cairnailo. Later he developed over Cairnuilla, Chernilla, Quernelia and Laquerneille to today's name.

The house logistics trolley, in which it is one of the oldest houses in the town, was formerly the seat of a court with a jurisdiction area of 30 municipalities.
