La Cavalerie

La cavalry is a commune of 1064 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Aveyron in the Midi-Pyrénées region. It belongs to the district of the canton of Millau and Nant.

Geography

The place is located in the southern Massif Central in the field of high level of Causse du Larzac Millau between the north- northwest and Montpellier in the south east.

History

The place is based on an old Templar stronghold built in the 12th century.
