La Cenerentola

La Cenerentola ossia La bontà in trionfo is an opera buffa (more precisely actually an Opera semiseria ) in two acts by Gioachino Rossini, based on the fairy tale Cinderella ( La Cenerentola by the Italian story by Giovanni Battista Basile ). The libretto was written by Jacopo Ferretti.

Action

Act 1

In the dilapidated castle of Don Magnifico himself whose daughters Clorinda and Tisbe brush out, while her stepsister Cenerentola the song of the love of a king sings a simple girl with the housework.
