La Ciudad del Fútbol

The Ciudad del Fútbol ( Soccer City for Spanish) is the Established in 2003, the training ground as well as the seat of the Spanish Football Federation. It is located in the municipality of Las Rozas, about 24 kilometers northwest of Madrid. It was designed by the architectural firm the sports venue Arquitectos Ayala.

Construction

On the 12 hectare site is the headquarters of the Spanish Association, the Museum of the National Team, a sports hall, dormitories for athletes, a meeting and conference center, a medical center and five soccer fields. The two southern venues, one with natural grass and eight-lane running track and an artificial turf as a playing field, have roofed grandstands with a capacity for about 1,400 each audience and are also used for various competitions, among other games of the national team of women.

Location and Public Transportation

The Ciudad del Fútbol is located in the municipality of Las Rozas on the road Ramón y Cajal. They can be reached by car via the Autovia A-6 and the Madrid ring road M-50. Near the sports venue located the station Pinar ( de las Rozas ), where keeping the lines C -3, C -8 and C - 10 of the Cercanías Madrid. In addition, the Ciudad del Fútbol can be reached by bus lines 620, 625, 628, 629 and 685.
