The La Crosse Regional Airport, to August 2013: La Crosse Municipal Airport (IATA: LSE, ICAO: KLSE ) is the airport of La Crosse in La Crosse County County in the western part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The permanently open airport closes the region along the Mississippi in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa on feeder flights to major airports in the aviation sector in the country.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems belonging airport by the number of 111 462 departing passengers as a non hub primary commercial service airport.

Location

The airport is located north of French Iceland, an island in the Mississippi River in the north of the urban area. About the Airport Road and Lake Shore Drive is connection to the city of La Crosse, on the Dawson Avenue to Interstate 90

Equipment

The airport has three start and runways, each having a concrete or asphalt surface. The control tower of the airport was in 2013 on the list of facilities to be closed in budget disputes in the USA in 2013.

There is a passenger terminal with three air bridges and a baggage handling system. Several car rental companies have bases in the reception building.

At the airport a total of 85 aircraft are based. Of these, 73 single-engine and multi-engine propeller aircraft 4, 7 jets and 1 helicopter.

Of the 72 aircraft movements per day 1 per cent of the scheduled and charter traffic, 57 percent of general aviation and 30 percent are attributable to the air taxi traffic. There are also about 11 percent military aircraft movements.
