La Faloise

La Faloise ( Picard: Faloèse ) is a northern French village with 222 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de Noye, in the canton Ailly- sur- Noye.

Geography

The municipality is located in the valley of the Noye, which is crossed here by the department of road D109 and located in the center on the left bank intersects with the road department D193, approximately 8 km south of Ailly- sur- Noye and 9 km from Breteuil in the département of Oise. In the west the municipal area is dominated by the course of an earlier road system Chaussée Brune skin. The railway line Paris -Lille runs through the east of the situated Noye part of the community, it has here a breakpoint. By La Faloise the Meridian runs verte.

History

The community is built around a castle built in the 13th century. In the mid-16th century, the rule came to the House of Bourbon - Condé. Part of the population fell victim to the plague in 1668. After the French Revolution La Faloise was known by the production of nails. 1940 the church was burnt down.
