La Habana Province

La Habana is a former province in the northwest of Cuba, which is around the same Cuban capital. The province was to be managed from the capital, the capital itself formed but as Ciudad de La Habana an independent province. In the course of administrative reform, the province was dissolved at the end of 2010. On their territory, the two new provinces of Artemisa and Mayabeque emerged. The Ciudad de La Habana was the name of the defunct province of La Habana. La Habana was only created in 1975 as part of the political and administrative reorganization of Cuba and covered an area of ​​5731 km ².

The main industries of the province were the agriculture, fisheries, and tourism.
