La Junta is a place in the American state of Colorado.

It is the county seat of Otero County. The town has 7077 inhabitants ( 2010).

La Junta is located on U.S. Highway 50 and on the south bank of the Arkansas River. In its vicinity, about 10 km north-east, lies the Bent 's Old Fort National Historic Site.
