La Martina

La Martina is an Argentinean manufacturer of saddles and more recently of sports and casual wear. He is primarily known as a jersey supplier for polo teams. Apart from the various national teams, including Argentina and Germany, La Martina also equips the university teams from Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge and the College of St. Xavier in Mumbai (India).

The company was founded in the 1980s by Lando Simonetti, who still runs the company with his son. It takes its name from Martina de Estrada Lainez, mother of Argentine polo player Adolfo Cambiaso. The Cambiaso family is still in litigation with respect to the trademark rights The company's headquarters are located in Buenos Aires. Production sites for the European market are located in Romania, Italy and Turkey, for the American market produced La Martina directly in Argentina.
