La Molina (ski resort)

La Molina is a Spanish ski resort in Catalonia. The village in the Pyrenees is a member of Alp in the province of Girona, and is about five kilometers from the French border at an altitude of 1700 meters.

The ski slopes are 60 km long. Building off by a gondola, seven chairlifts and five ski lifts, which reach up to 2445 meters. There are also 5 km cross-country trails, facilities for snowboarding and ski jump. Since 2007 competitions of the snowboard World Cup will be held in La Molina, since 2008 race at the Alpine Skiing World Cup. 2011 here the Snowboard World Cup was held.

La Molina is accessed by a station on the RENFE railway line Barcelona -Latour -de- Carol - Enveitg.
