La Mothe-Achard
La Mothe -Achard is a commune with 2737 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Vendée in the Pays de la Loire; it belongs to the district Les Sables d'Olonne and the canton of La Mothe-Achard. North of the village runs the river Auzance.
In the 15th century it was called Brandois.
