La Palma is a city in the U.S. state of California in the north of Orange County. She has a little under 16,000 inhabitants ( 2004) on an area of 4.8 km ². The settlement was originally grouped together because of the numerous dairies be located here under the name Dairyland. As the dairies were resettled, the name was changed to La Palma. Name factor was the La Palma Avenue, which as the main road through town.
