La Paz Department (Honduras)

La Paz is one of the 18 departments in Honduras in Central America. His name is Spanish and means " peace ".

The capital of the department is the city of La Paz, La Paz has to the south across an external border with El Salvador.

The department was founded in 1869 by a split from the department of Comayagua.
