La Presse (Canadian newspaper)

La Presse is a French language Canadian newspaper with editorial headquarters in Montreal. It is published Monday to Saturday, the former Sunday edition was discontinued for cost reasons in 2009.

The newspaper was founded in 1884 by William Blum Edmond Hart, today's publisher Gesca, a subsidiary of Power Corporation of Canada. The edition was in 2011 at about 220,000 copies.
