La República
La República is a Peruvian left-liberal daily newspaper, which was founded in 1981 by Gustavo Mohme Toce, a former deputy in the Peruvian Congress. First editor in chief was the journalist Guillermo Thorndike ( 1940-2009 ).
The La República Group, which is behind the newspaper and is also involved in other newspapers, the TV stations, América TV and Canal N, is next to the " El Comercio " group the highest circulation of Peru. Among the regular columnists of the newspaper is among others the Nobel Prize for Literature Mario Vargas Llosa.
