La Salla

La Salla (Eng. The meeting ) is a Canadian computer-animated short film by Richard Condie from the year 1996.

Action

A man sits in his apartment, which is full of technical Wind- gimmicks. He shoots a cannon cows on a picture and pleased. He also draws on a bottle, the various sayings goes muttering over the floor. Every now and then opens a door devil and a hand holding an apple in the room. The man explains always singing that he would resist the temptation, but is sometime yet and takes the apple. At the same moment his head is chopped off and the ground begins to move. During the unrolling head back and sings, the headless body tries to orient. He finally feels his way before the mini gun and shoots from a cow that gets stuck in the nose of the head. The head is a lamentation ( " Just now I had everything, now a cow is in my nose " ) and notes that everything was just that he had opened the door.

It is clear that the room is in fact a box, which is kept in a room identical rooms of an identical man in the hands and shaken back and forth. The man with the box turns to his cows, he Fires a mini cannon. He finds that he loves life, when suddenly a hand holding a red apple over a door into the room.

Production

La Salla was built within four years in the style of a comic opera. Condie wrote a libretto, which he translated into Italian. The vocals were sung by tenor Jay Brazeau. The film experienced on September 7, 1996 at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of his. La Salla was the first film Condies, which was computer animated.

Awards

On the Vancouver International Film Festival La Salla won the 1996 award for best animated film and got on the Nashville Film Festival 1997 Best of Festival Award.

La Salla in 1997 for an Oscar in the category " Best Animated Short Film " nomination, but could not prevail against Quest itself. It was after The Big Snit (1985 ), the second Academy Award nomination for a movie Condies.
