The city is located about 27 km from the city center of Paris. The nearest communities are Nozay, Montlhery and Longpont -sur -Orge.

In the north, the "Centre Commercial de La Ville- du- Bois ", a major shopping center. The unemployment rate in the city is about 7%.

Traffic

The main thoroughfare is the so-called four-lane Route nationale 20 (N20 ), which leads north to the city center of the capital, Paris. Very close is the A10 motorway.
