Laage (Amt)
The Office Laage lies in the center of the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ).
In this office are four municipalities and the city Laage, in which the administrative office is situated together to do their administrative business. The Office was formed on 1 August 2004 from the former Office Laage - country and the formerly independent city official Laage. The at that time still independent community wide village was incorporated into Laage on 1 July 2006.
Located between Rostock and Güstrow that Recknitz flows in a wide glacial valley through the hilly area office. Near the Diekhofer district Lüning village reached the Schmooksberg 127.5 m above sea level. NHN. On the Schmooksberg is one of six nationwide SREM radars of German air traffic control.
Of the numerous lakes in the office area of the lake and the Hohensprenzer Dolgener lake are worth mentioning.
The area is primarily characterized by agriculture. In and around Laage and located here Rostock-Laage Airport, several industrial and service enterprises have settled.
By the Authority area run the federal highways 103 and 108, the Federal Highway 19 (Berlin - Rostock ) and the railway line from Berlin to Rostock.
