Laban Rotich

Laban Rotich ( born January 20, 1969 in Mosoriot at Eldoret, Rift Valley Province) is a Kenyan middle distance runner.

In his special discipline, the 1500 -meter run, he was in Atlanta and fourth at the World Athletics Championships 1997 in Athens eleventh. During the 1996 Olympic Games

In 1998 he won both the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, as well as at the Track Championships in Africa Dakar gold. The following year he won silver at the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi and finished sixth at the World Championships in Seville.

He finished fourth at the World Indoor Championships in Lisbon in 2001 and came into the semifinal of the World Championships in Edmonton. The silver medal at the African Championships in 2002 was followed by bronze at the World Indoor Championships in Budapest in 2004.

Laban Rotich is 1,63 m tall, weighs 45 kg and is part of the ethnicity of the Nandi.
