Labeo nandina

Labeo nandina, called in India also Nandani or Nandil, is a medium sized Karpfenfischart from Southeast Asia.

Description

The fish can grow to over 80 inches long and 10 kilograms.

Dissemination

Labeo nandina is found in rivers of India, Bangladesh and Myanmar.

Way of life

The species dependent mainly on the headwaters of the rivers. In Bangladesh, they also occur in the so-called Beels.

Lifestyle and use

Very little is known about the habits of Labeo nandina.
