Labici

Labici (also: Lavici, Labicum ) was an ancient city in the Italian countryside of Lazio. She was 15 Roman miles (about 23 km) southeast of Rome at the end of via Labicana at today's Monte Compatri, on the northern slopes of the Alban Hills.

Labici belonged to the Latin League. After it had gone over to the Aequi, it was 418 BC, conquered by the Romans and taken to Colonia. However, it lost its meaning over the Republic and was at the time of Cicero, only a run-down municipium. In the early imperial period the site appears to have been completely abandoned. He was succeeded by the road station Ad Quintana at via Labicana

Labicum was an early Christian bishopric and is now a titular of the Roman Catholic Church.

The 16 km Lugnano 1888 took the name Labico because you held the place at that time for the successor of Labici. This assumption has now been corrected.
