Labrun is a district of the city of Anna castle in Wittenberg district in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geography

The village is located about 45 km southeast of Wittenberg and about 20 km north of Torgau in the lowlands on the east bank of the Elbe River west of the Anna Burger Heide between Prettin, Bethau, Großtreben, Plossig and Großnaundorf.

History

Labrun was probably founded in 1159 by Flemish immigrants. These were settled by the Archbishop of Magdeburg Wichmann von Seeburg and Albrecht the Bear in this area.

On 1 January 2011 Labrun was incorporated into Anna Castle.

Attractions

The place has the beginning of the 17th century by the Electress Dowager Hedwig newly built church with almost closed, bauzeitlicher equipment of high artistic value ( pulpit, altar Profitable ). It is a branch of the pastorate Prettin, patron saints, the apostles St. Peter and Paul. The sandstone Baptism dates back to 1597th The church was flooded as the whole place by the flooding of the Elbe in August 2002 and has since then been restored.
