Lac de Remoray

Lac de Remoray is a lake which lies in the French department Doubs in the Franche -Comté. The nearest major town is Pontarlier. The lake is 850 meters above sea level and covers an area of ​​95 hectares. The eponymous village Remoray - Boujeons is located west on the slopes of the Jura. The village Labergement -Sainte- Marie is located on the eastern side of the river Doubs on the valley floor.

The main tributaries are the river La Drésine and Le Lhaut. The outlet of the lake is called La Taverne and flows almost half a kilometer later in the Doubs.

The lake is surrounded by a swamp. This was explained together with the lake on April 24, 1980, on the nature reserve. This nature reserve covers an area of ​​426.69 hectares.
