Lac de Retournemer

The Lac de Retournemer is an ice age glacier, which is located in France, in the Lorraine region, in the department of Vosges. The inflow and outflow of the lake is carried by the river Vologne. It is located in the Vosges Mountains, on the western edge of the Hohneck, in a chain of lakes, the downstream even further comprising the Longemer and the Lac de Gerardmer. The Lac de Retournemer is located in the municipality of La Bresse, at an altitude of 775 meters and covers an area of ​​about 5 hectares. Its length is about 320 meters, the width 250 and the maximum depth of 11.5 meters. The lake is situated in the territory of the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges.
