Lacus Oblivionis

Lacus Oblivionis - Latin for Sea of Oblivion - a solidified lava lake on the moon, of the larger Maria similar to that of the emergence ago. The term has been defined by the International Astronomical Union in 1976.

The small sea surface has an average diameter of 50 km and is located south amidst the moon back in the selenographic coordinates 21 degrees south and 168 degrees west.
