Ladislav Fialka

Ladislav Fialka ( born September 22, 1931 in Prague, † February 22, 1991 ) was a Czechoslovak mime, actor, choreographer, theater director and professor.

Life

Already during his studies ( 1952-1956 ) at the Prague State Conservatory he founded in 1953 a first pantomime group. On 1 August 1956, the Czech public experienced in Prague for the first time a pantomime idea: The first graduates of the dance department of the Conservatory led her thesis on the evening of the three mimes.

The modern Czech pantomime has existed since 1959, as Ladislav Fialka with a mime group at the Prague theater Divadlo Na zábradlí moved ( the idea was Pantomima Na zábradlí - pantomime at the railing ), which thus became one of the centers of the Czech pantomime, with pantomime and theater co-existed side by side. Since then he has constantly been there programs, Fialka also worked for film and television, created choreography for the dramatic theater and undertook concert tours in many countries of all continents. In 1969 he founded the first international pantomime meeting in Prague (the fourth in the total number to Berlin, Zurich and the Essenes of Soubeyran ), which was attended, among others, Marcel Marceau, Dimitri, René Ouellet and Samy Molcho.

Services

Fialka is considered as well, outgoing for the modern mime Marcel Marceau such as, both drew from the rich fund of classical pantomime. While Marceau but preferred the solo mime, worked Fialka as well Tomaszewski with larger ensembles and integrated elements of dance. He gave his work a neglected in the former Czechoslovakia theater genre his fame back.
