Ladomirová

Ladomirová ( until 1927 slovak also " Ladomirovce "; Hungarian Ladomérvágása - to 1902 Ladomér ) is a municipality in the Low Beskid Mountains, in the north-eastern Slovakia.

It lies on the main road I/73 between Svidník in the southwest (6 km ) and the Duklapass in the Northeast (14 km), which forms the border with Poland, on the banks of the creek Ladomirka.

It was first mentioned in 1414 (1364? ). In the village there is a wooden Greek Catholic Church of St. Michael the Archangel from 1742 with a bell tower. The building was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2008.

The town is the birthplace of Laurus Schkurla (1928-2008), head of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad.
