Lafrimbolle

Lafrimbolle is a commune with 209 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

The community Lafrimbolle located in the foothills of the Vosges Mountains on the border with the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle, about 18 kilometers south of Sarrebourg. Through the municipal area the White Saar flows, the nucleus lies in a tributary of the river.

Most of the community consists of forest area, the northern half covered the Bois de la Grange Neuve ( Neuscheuer Forest), to the south of the Forêt des Marches dite Forêt de la Comtesse stretches. To Lafrimbolle the south of the core village hamlet of Les Harcholins heard ( Harsch Lingen ).

History

1361 the site was mentioned as Lauffen Born. After the Franco-German war he found himself on the German side of the new frontier again, a border crossing it was built and renamed the place in Lascemborn; In 1915 this was changed to let Born, in November 1918, the village was returned to France.
