The Lagan is 244 kilometers, the longest river in the southern Swedish highlands.
It rises in the town of Värnamo, forms the Vidösternsee flows, among other things through the town Ljungby and empties into the community Laholm in place Mellbystrand in the Laholmsbukten ( schwed. " Laholmsbukten " ), a part of the Kattegat. Along the Lagan exists an ancient trade route, the " Lagastig ".
