Lago del Brugneto

The Lago del Brugneto ( in German: Brugnetosee ) is an artificial lake in the Italian region of Liguria. It is located in the Ligurian Apennines, within the Natural Park Antola. Located in the Alta Val Trebbia, near the communities Torriglia, Propata and Rondanina Lake, the largest freshwater area within the region dar.

The artificial basin of the lake was created in 1959 by the Azienda municipalizzata Gas e Acqua di Genova and flooded by the damming of the river Brugneto. The lake is situated at an altitude of 777 meters above sea level and is at its maximum capacity of 25.13 million cubic meters of fresh water, the main water supply to the regional capital is Genoa dar.

The length of the dam is three kilometers and a width of approximately 200 meters. The circumference is about 13.5 kilometers.
