Lago di Tenno

The Tenno ( Italian: Lago di Tenno ) is a mountain lake in the municipality of Tenno in Trentino, Italy in a closed basin north of Lake Garda.

It lies at an altitude of 570 meters above sea level, nestled in an almost untouched natural landscape at the foot of Monte Misone. Remarkable for its special, to turquoise to sky blue solid color, which is why it is also called Lago Azzurro. The lake has a size of approximately 0.25 km ², but this varies depending on rainfall. In the fall of the lake can rise by 15 meters high rainfall. In a study of Lago di Tenno was determined as the cleanest fresh water lake in Italy.

The shore is not accessible by car, but only on foot via a stone staircase. The lake is surrounded by a forest, the shore is natural and the water crystal clear. In the summer it can be used as a swimming lake.
