Lagord
Lagord is a West commune with 7233 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Charente -Maritime in the Poitou -Charentes. It belongs administratively to the district of La Rochelle and the District of La Rochelle - ninth Residents Lagordaise or Lagordais call themselves.
Geography
The municipality is located in the metropolitan area north of La Rochelle. Neighboring municipalities are:
- Nieul- sur -Mer in the north,
- Puilboreau in the east,
- La Rochelle in the south and
- L' Houmeau in the West.
Transport links
The leading from La Rochelle to north Territory road D104 ( D105 later ) crosses the area. On the southern boundary of the municipality, the highway-like -developed national route runs N237, which leads to the bridge that crosses the strait to the island of Ile de Ré. Just outside the southwest boundary of the municipality is the airport La Rochelle - Île de Ré.
