Laguna del Sauce

The Laguna del Sauce is a lake in Uruguay.

It is located on the territory of the department of Maldonado west of Punta del Este. The approximately 5,000 hectares and between seven and 13 meters deep lake is the largest freshwater reservoir in the department. It is fed by the two tributaries Arroyo Pan de Azucar and Arroyo del Sauce. A connection to the extensive Río de la Plata estuary is a narrow channel.
