The Taraspsee (also Tarasper lake or Taraspersee, Romansh in the idiom Vallader Lai da Scuol, pronunciation [ lai dɐ ta'raʃp ] ) is a scattered settlement in Scuol in a circle Sur Tasna situated in Graubunden Swiss lake.
The lake measures about two hectares and lies at an altitude of 1404 m. On the south side rises on a rocky peak in almost 1500 m altitude Tarasp Castle.
The lake lies in a endorheic depression. In May 2006, an extinction of rare cancers of unknown aetiology has been registered. The large stock of shells and fish was not affected.
