Lai Shin-yuan

Lai Shin -yuan (赖 幸 媛chinese /赖 幸 媛, Pinyin Lai Xingyuan, born November 9, 1956 in Taichung) is a Taiwanese politician. She was from 20 May 2008 to September 28, 2012 Minister in the Council Mainland Affairs.

Lai Shin -yuan attended the London School of Economics and Political Science and is a graduate of the University of Sussex in development research. She taught from 1997 to 1998 at Shih Hsin University, and from 1997 to 2008, Tamkang University as an Associate Professor. From 2000 to 2004 she was a member of the National Security Council and from 2005 to 2008 Member of the Legislative Yuan.
