Laino Castello
Laino Castello is a city and municipality in the province of Cosenza in Calabria in southern Italy with 877 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Laino Castello is located about 110 km north of Cosenza in the upper reaches of the river Lao. The neighboring municipalities are Aieta, Laino Borgo, Mormanno, Papasidero and Rotonda (PZ ).
Attractions
In the village there are ruins of a castle and the remains of the city wall. The parish church was built in the Middle Ages. Inside the parish church is a baptismal font from the 16th century and a triptych. The Church of S. Spirito was built in the Baroque period in the style of the Baroque.
