Läkartidningen

Läkartidningen (German: Medical Journal ) is a Swedish magazine, as an organ of Sveriges läkarförbund (SLF ), the trade union and professional organization of the medical profession in Sweden, appears weekly in Stockholm in Läkartidningen Förlag. The magazine was founded in 1904 as Allmänna svenska läkartidningen, appeared from 1920 to 1964 as Svenska läkartidningen and since then under the name Läkartidningen. The circulation is 40,900 copies (2012 ) and reaches 49,000 readers and 74 % of physicians ( 2011).

The focus of the journal focuses on news and debates on health care and ethics policy. In addition to comments, summaries of articles in other magazines as well as scientific articles, which have undergone a peer -reviewed, published. The journal is indexed in Medline.
