Lake Fianga

The Fianga Lake is a lake in the region of Mayo - Kebbi Est in the southwest of Chad on the border with Cameroon. It is fed from swamps in the east of the lake, which are watered by the Logone. This swamp and flood plain was made by Chad under the title Plaines d' inondation du Logone et les dépressions Toupouri protected under the Ramsar Convention. It drains to the north through a channel in the Logone and south through a channel in the Mayo Kébbi. The lake is situated on the watershed between Chad Basin and the Niger Basin.
