Lake Kolvitskoye

The Kolwizkoje (Russian Колвицкое озеро ) is a lake in the extreme southwest of the Kola Peninsula in Russia's Murmansk Oblast.

The lake has an area of 121 km ² and lies at an altitude of 61 m. The maximum water depth is 20 m, the average is 12 m. The water level fluctuates during the year by 180 cm. From late October to late May, the Kowizkoje is covered with ice.

The largest tributary of the Kolwizkoje is the Bolshaya ( Большая ). The Kolwiza drained the lake in a westerly direction to the nearby Kandalakscha Bay.
