Lake Lestijärvi

The Lestijärvi is a lake in the Finnish countryside Central Ostrobothnia.

The lake is located in the municipality of the same name. The Lestijärvi is roughly described by an oval shape and measures about 13 to 8 km. Two projecting into the lake peninsulas separate the northeastern part of the lake from the main lake. The lake is relatively poor in islands. Along the south-western shore is a collection of smaller islands. The main islands in the lake are Nevansaari (31 ha) and Vasikkasaari (18 ha). On the southwest shore the center of the municipality is Lestijärvi. The Lestijärvi has a water area of ​​64.74 km ² and is situated at an altitude of 140.7 m. With a maximum water depth of 6.9 m, the lake is relatively flat.

On the northeastern shore of Lestijoki drained the lake to the Gulf of Bothnia.
