Lake Mweru Wantipa

The Mweru - Wantipa Lake is located in Zambia in the northern province between Lake Mweru and the south end of Lake Tanganyika. At it joins the broad directional Mweru Wantipa National Park, can be found in the elephants, crocodiles, buffalo. Poaching has stocks but very reduced. Travelers report that they had seen only a few warthogs and even the birds were already landed as a side dish in the cooking pot.

The lake surrounded wide, marshy shores with dense papyrus, which makes it very attractive to waterfowl. Also living in swamps Sitatunga antelope can be found here. The lake itself is only accessible by a dugout of the locals through the swamps surrounding it.
