Lake Parade

The Lake Parade is a techno parade, which takes place every year in mid- July in the Swiss city of Geneva; usually on the same weekend as the Love Parade. In 2006, about 350,000 people took part in the parade; including many visitors from abroad. The Lake Parade is one with its number of participants compared to the Love Parade in Berlin and the Street Parade in Zurich, the smaller Techno parades and is described as uncommercial. The musical spectrum is gefächtert slightly wider. In addition to various styles of electronic dance music there was, inter alia, some " love mobiles " with Latino music. The name " Lake Parade " received the event because along the route to the Lake Geneva (Lac Leman).

GHB scandal

Negative in the headlines came the Lake Parade twice because of multiple abuse of so-called knock-out drops ( GHB), the unsuspecting participants were mixed in the drinks. Around a dozen people were each affected.
