, Also called Lac Retba Lac Rose, is a salt lake 26.8 km north east of Dakar in Senegal.

Because of its caused by cyanobacteria, visible especially in the dry season, unique pink coloring, the Lac Rose got its name.

The lake is very salty ( 380-400 g / liter ), so that you can swim in the sea water as in dead. It has an area of approximately 7.4 square kilometers and is separated from the sea by a dune.

The lake was the ultimate goal of the Dakar Rally, the show stage was from the town along the beach and ended with the podium at the lake. Nearby is the village Sangalkam.
