Lake Rotoiti (Tasman)

The Lake Rotoiti is a large mountain in Nelson Lakes National Park on the South Island of New Zealand. It is fed by the Travers River and flows into the Buller River. Its greatest depth is 82 m. It is surrounded by beech forest. Saint Arnaud is a small community on the north end of the lake.

Around the lake, and hiking trails, including the Lakehead track on the east side and the Lakeside track on the west side of the lake. There is also a water taxi that hitchhiker from and transported to the Coldwater and Lakehead huts at the end of the lake. The lake is also popular for water-skiing. At the Mt Robert, there was until 2005 also a ski slope, which was then closed, however, by the Department of Conservation.

In the lake, introduced trout can be fished.
