Lake Saroma Ultramarathon

The Saroma Lake -100 - km ultramarathon (Japaneseサロマ湖100kmウルトラ マラソン, Saroma -ko -100 - km - urutora - marason ) is an ultra-marathon along the Japanese Saroma Lake which has been held since 1986. He is known by the world records in the 100 - km road race that has been made here. The time limit is 13 hours. The competition also includes a 50 - km run.

Route

The point - to-point course begins in Yubetsu at the west end of Saroma Lake, the largest inland lake in Hokkaido, and initially leads to an inflection point on the Spit, which separates it from the sea Ochotskischem. Then it's on the south shore of the lake about Saroma to the east end of the lake, where there's another turning point distance on the Spit followed before the target at the sports center of Tokoro is achieved in Kitami. History
