Lake Segozero

The Segosero (Russian Сегозеро, Finnish lake Järvi ) was originally a natural lake in the Republic of Karelia in northwest Russia, which has been converted into a reservoir by damming. The Segescha drained the lake to the northeast Wygosero. Following the completion of a hydroelectric power station on the Segescha the water surface of Segosero of 815 km ² to 906 km ² was enlarged. The annual fluctuations of the water level be 2.4 m. Between December and May, the lake is frozen.
