Lake Upemba

The Upembasee is 530 km ², the largest lake in Bukama - field of the Katanga province of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The lake is part of the National Park Upemba and is located in the marshy lowlands, which is formed by the Lualaba, the actual source of the Congo River. In the Kamalondo depression, there are next to the Upembasee still about 50 other than the next largest Kisalesee.
