Lake Wood (Philippines)

The Wood Lake (English: Lake Wood) is a lake on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. The lake is located about 29 km west of Pagadian City, the provincial capital of Zamboanga del Sur. After the lake, the Lakewood community was named.

The aquatic vegetation is dominated by the alga Cladophora sp. Fish stocks are mainly composed of the snakehead Channa striata, various kinds of Tilapia, the goby Glossogobius giurus, the carp ( Cyprinus carpio ) and the climbing fish Anabas testudineus. These fish are also used in commercial fishing.
