Lakeside is a census -designated place with 1679 inhabitants ( 2000) in the United States, on the northwest coast of Flathead Lake, a lake in the state of Montana, approximately 110 km south of the Canadian border.
History
In the 19th century it was known as Stoner, named after the first postmaster, John Stoner, who had operated a hotel at Stoner Creek. Later, the name in Chautauqua, then in 1920 finally changed Lacon and Lakeside.
