Lalaye

Lalaye (Alsatian LAACH or smile, or laugh Laach High German ) is a commune with 438 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Sélestat - Erstein, for Canton Villé and founded the 1992 Association of Municipalities Canton de Villé.

Geography

History

The village was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War. Romanesque settlers from Lorraine were then settled in Lach as in many other villages Vosges. In Lorraine Pattois the place now " Lela " was called.
